What this involves.

Concrete steps and a front stoop take constant traffic and have to stay safe in rain, ice, and heat, which makes the structure underneath them just as important as the surface. We dig and pour proper footings below frost depth, build and reinforce the forms, and place the concrete so the steps come out solid and tied to the structure. We keep risers and treads consistent so the stairs feel right underfoot, finish the surface for traction, and slope the treads slightly so water runs off instead of pooling. The result is a stoop and set of steps that are level, durable, and safe to use year round.
