Downspout & Drainage Tie-In
Downspouts that dump right next to the house send roof water straight into your foundation. We tie your downspouts into buried drainage that carries roof runoff well away from the home where it can't cause damage.
What this involves.
Downspout and drainage tie-in takes the large volume of water coming off your roof and routes it underground instead of letting it pool at the foundation. We connect each downspout to solid PVC pipe, run it below grade at a steady slope, and discharge it to a pop-up emitter, dry well, or existing drainage line a safe distance from the house. This keeps the soil around your foundation drier, protects basements and crawl spaces, and stops the erosion and washout that happen where downspouts splash. We size the lines for real rainfall and make sure every connection sheds water cleanly.
- Inspecting each downspout and planning the underground routing
- Connecting downspouts to solid pipe with watertight fittings
- Trenching and burying pipe at a steady slope away from the house
- Discharging to a pop-up emitter, dry well, or existing drain line
- Adding cleanouts so the lines can be flushed if needed
- Backfilling and restoring lawn or beds over the buried pipe
- Running water through the gutters to confirm every line flows clear
