Roof decking replacement addresses the plywood or board sheathing that your roof is fastened to, which often hides damage until the old roofing is stripped away. Water that worked past failed flashing or shingles can leave the deck soft, rotted, or delaminated, and shingles will not hold properly on weak wood. Once the roof is torn off, we inspect the deck thoroughly, mark the bad sections, and cut them out back to sound framing. We install new decking that matches the thickness of the original and fasten it correctly so the surface is flat, solid, and ready for underlayment and your new roof.
