House wrap and moisture barrier installation is the step that protects the framing and sheathing once siding is removed or a wall is opened up. We cover the sheathing with the wrap, overlap the seams in the right direction so water sheds downhill, and tape and seal the joints for a continuous barrier. Then we integrate the flashing around windows, doors, and penetrations so water that gets behind the siding has a clear path back out.
