What this involves.

French door installation depends on a square opening and two panels that meet clean at the center, which takes careful setting and adjustment. We measure the opening, remove the old unit, and check the framing and threshold before we set the new frame level, plumb, and square. Then we shim and fasten the frame solidly, hang both panels, and adjust them so they swing true, meet evenly in the middle, and latch clean. For exterior French doors we also insulate, flash, and weatherstrip the unit against drafts and water. French doors bring in light and open a wide path between spaces. Whether interior or exterior, we make sure both panels fit and operate smoothly.
