What this involves.

Garden and seat walls are lower than retaining walls, but they still need a solid base and level coursing to look right and last. We lay out the wall to fit the space, excavate, and compact a base so the wall does not settle unevenly. We set the first course level, stack block or stone with tight, consistent joints, and bring the wall to a comfortable height for seating or for holding a planting bed. We finish with a smooth, even cap that feels good to sit on and ties the wall together. The result is a clean, functional wall that shapes how the yard is used.
