What this involves.
A lasting stone veneer job depends on what goes on behind the stone as much as the stone itself. We prep the wall, install the right backing and moisture barrier, and apply a scratch coat so the veneer has something solid to bond to. We lay out the stone to balance color and size, set each piece in mortar with consistent joints, and work the corners and edges so they look continuous. We tool and clean the joints for a finished face, and we detail around openings and transitions to keep water out. The result is a durable stone surface that upgrades the whole look of the wall.
